Roger is a qualified actuary with over 25 years insurance and consulting experience, within both personal and commercial lines.
Roger spent the first five years of his career at ITT London & Edinburgh insurance company where he carried out reserving, management information, business planning and pricing work on their Personal Lines business before moving to London to work in their Commercial department, before the company was bought by Aviva. He worked for Lloyd’s of London leading the Systemic Risk team within the Market Risk Unit, where he devised the first specific RDS’s and assisted on the development of Lloyd’s capital model.
After working briefly for a broker, he subsequently became a consultant where he has focused on assisting clients with their transformation projects, alongside providing actuarial services including VDD and buy-side advice to (re)insurance groups and Lloyd’s managing agencies. He currently works on Brexit and ESG transformation projects and is the Global Insurance ESG Lead, coordinating ESG activity across our member firms.
