Richard is a Partner in KPMG UK’s Governance Risk and Compliance Services practice with over 18 years of experience gained in the UK and Australia, supporting clients and boards with their governance, risk and control design and assurance requirements.
Since joining KPMG in 2013, he has provided internal audit services across the public sector including healthcare, higher education, central and local government, housing associations, and charities. Whilst working in Australia Richard was seconded into the NSW Treasury as their Director of Audit. Before joining KPMG, Richard was an external auditor working with the Audit Commission and Grant Thornton.
Richard also leads KPMG’s independent programme assurance practice in IGH, providing assurance to public sector organisations over transformation programmes. This has involved assuring complex technology implementations including Oracle, SAP, Epic, Microsoft Dynamics, and Salesforce.
Richard is also a co-opted member of the Audit, Risk and Governance Committee for the Royal Society of Medicine.
