Dave leads KPMG’s UK Cyber Response and Recovery team, bringing over 25 years of cybersecurity experience. He specialises in countering advanced threat actors, building resilience against complex cyber threats, and leading responses to critical cyber incidents.
Dave has worked with organisations worldwide, advising and delivering engagements across a wide range of industries and regions. He has led the response to some of the most significant cyber incidents at both national and international levels, including across government, telecommunications, legal, manufacturing and healthcare sectors.
His expertise spans board-level advisory and independent assurance, operational resilience and incident response. Dave also provides strategic guidance on complex post-breach investigations and supports organisations involved in class-action litigation.
He has delivered numerous high-profile cyber incident simulation exercises for major organisations, including critical national infrastructure, healthcare systems, and government bodies.
Building on a distinguished military career with multiple overseas deployments, Dave has deep experience in national security. He has supported governments internationally in responding to major cyber incidents, establishing national cybersecurity capabilities, and managing large-scale cybersecurity programmes.
