      Nick David is a Partner in KPMG’s Technology & Digital Transformation practice, supporting major energy clients through large‑scale digital, cloud and operating model change. He leads technology strategy development and transformation delivery across the global energy sector, helping organisations modernise core platforms, accelerate cloud adoption and strengthen operational resilience.

      Nick has over 20 years of experience in energy technology leadership, including 21 years at Shell PLC. As Global CIO for Shell’s Integrated Gas and Upstream Joint Ventures, he managed a $500m annual IT portfolio and led digital programmes serving more than 40,000 users worldwide. His work spanned regions including the Middle East, Australia, Asia‑Pacific, Europe and Africa, focusing on cloud migration, SaaS adoption and cost‑efficient, scalable IT delivery.

      In Shell’s Group CIO Office, Nick shaped the firm’s enterprise‑wide “Cloud First” and “Market Standards” strategy, influencing over $2bn of annual technology investment. He established global architecture, data and platform capabilities and drove major transformation of workplace, application and infrastructure services.

      Before joining KPMG, Nick served as Senior Vice President for Global Professional Services & Customer Success at OneTrust, leading global delivery of data privacy, governance and risk solutions to over 15,000 clients. He supported organisations in meeting evolving regulatory expectations and building trusted digital foundations.

      Nick’s expertise covers digital transformation, cloud architecture, technology strategy, cyber risk, operating model design, large‑scale programme delivery and technology‑enabled efficiency improvement. He works closely with senior leadership teams to align technology investment with business priorities and to accelerate digital capability across operations.
