Stuart has more than 18 years experience in the financial services sector and was appointed to partner in our South African practice in 2004.
He joined the UK firm in 2008 to lead the audit for the FTSE 100 insurance group, Old Mutual plc. Since then, he has worked with some great global organisations across a number of jurisdictions, including some of the firms largest clients in the UK, the US, Canada, Scandinavia, South Africa and Australia.
In recent years he has also been instrumental in growing and leading the part of our business that provides an extended suite of assurance services to our clients in the insurance sector. He continues to lead teams that deliver services that range from risk and regulatory advice, controls assurance through to capital market transaction support.
In recent years Stuart has led multi-disciplinary teams that have delivered services ranging from a full business review of a major multi-line general insurer to comprehensive due diligence of a major closed-fund life insurance operation.
