    KPMG in the UK

    Miles is an Advisory Partner focused on Deal Advisory in Energy & Infrastructure.  His wider roles include sector lead for KPMG’s Energy Deal Advisory practice in the UK and Chair of KPMG’s Global Japanese Practice across the EMA region where he leads KPMG’s support to Japanese clients across Advisory, Audit and Tax.

    With 25 years of deals experience, Miles specialises in providing transaction advisory support to clients across Energy & Infrastructure M&A in the UK and globally and has advised on over 250 deals totalling more than £200 billion, working with a wide range of sector investors and corporate clients on domestic and cross-border, buy and sell side transactions as well as IPOs and refinancings.

    Miles leads our Energy & Infrastructure deals team which supports Clients globally across their investment process, from initial options analysis and market entry through to transaction execution, value creation and business plan realisation right across the sector value chain.  

    Wider experience includes his secondment to the UK Department of Energy & Climate Change (now DESNZ) as a Senior Civil Servant and Head of Investor Relations where he led the Department's work to attract investors and finance for UK energy investment and across UK Government including FCO and 10 Downing Street.  

    A former Royal Navy Reserve officer, Miles also maintains a keen interest in KPMG’s support to the military covenant and he is a Trustee and chair of two maritime youth charities (the Andrew Simpson Foundation and the Sail Training Trust) and is also a Trustee of Royal Navy sailing.
