When I wrote in the editorial of the previous Bulletin about the "Train Ordinance" (Emergency Ordinance 138/2024), nothing suggested that significant tax changes were about to arrive on December 31 itself. In fact, on the very last day of last year, the Official Gazette published another Emergency Ordinance, 156/2024, which overnight changed many tax provisions and disrupted the plans of numerous companies and individuals.
