      KPMG New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of four new Partners to the firm’s leadership: Alan Williams, Natalie Berkett, Evan Bateup and Seshani Bala.       Alan leads KPMG’s Deal Strategy practice in Tāmaki Makaurau, helping clients improve financial performance through data‑driven insights. Alan’s experience spans across transactions, turnarounds and transformations, where he delivers complex engagements drawing on his expertise in integration and separation, value creation, financial modelling, financial due diligence and M&A implementation. 

      Natalie advises clients on corporate tax matters, compliance and M&A transactions. Based in Tauranga, she supports clients across horticulture, energy and natural resources, infrastructure, financial services and property sectors. Natalie also leads KPMG’s Private Enterprise Tax team to provide tax advice and assistance to privately owned family business. 

      Evan has over 15 years’ experience as a People executive, with expertise in culture change, attraction and retention strategies, employee experience, and Inclusion, Equity and Diversity. His background spans roles across marketing, sales, programme and change management, and operations. 

      Seshani brings over 18 years’ experience as a lawyer and corporate assurance executive. She leads KPMG’s in-house legal team, guiding the firm across legal, governance, technology/AI and regulatory matters. Building on her private practice M&A/private equity background, Seshani has held global legal, governance and risk leadership roles across FMCG, technology and professional services. She has been successively recognised in various external industry awards for her innovation and impact.
