As KPMG, we were at the forefront of the development of the Product Circularity Improvement Program (PCIP) in partnership with Circular IQ. This program is specifically developed as circularity is all about product design and material use, and if there is no clear insight in current product performance, lots of opportunities to improve will be lost. This program helps frontrunners and sustainability leaders in achieving their circularity goals. We do this via a step-by-step approach that helps you gather actionable insights into your product circularity and eco-impact performance, with a data-backed and visualized Product Circularity Report.
In this publication and recorded podcast below, highlight a recent case study with our long lasting client, a Dutch Telecom Operator, and one of their key circularity suppliers, Fairphone. The Telecom Operator has been our launching customer for this service and puts circularity as a key priority in their overall business strategy, having a target of ~100% circular operations by 2025.
Together we went through the PCIP journey and want to share the lessons learned. It delivered clear insights on current performance, and even inspiration for fact-based product design improvements implemented moving from the Fairphone 3 (product as analyzed) to the Fairphone 4 that recently is launched.
