We’re excited to present the State of the Insurers 2025 report. This year marks a shift from transition to transformation: insurers are beginning to embed IFRS 17, driving greater transparency and comparability.

Despite a challenging backdrop—moderate inflation, fluctuating interest rates, geopolitical tension, and rising climate risks—the Dutch insurance sector showed remarkable resilience, supported by stable solvency positions, disciplined underwriting practices, and strategic portfolio management.

The report dives into key trends across Life and Non-Life (including Health) segments, covering portfolio evolution, profitability outlooks, and capital and financial positions. It also highlights the sector’s growing focus on sustainability, capital efficiency, and digital transformation.
