ESG is top of mind for many companies. At the same time, there is a lot of uncertainty due to potential changes in regulations. Do I need to comply with legislation such as CSRD, ESPR, CBAM and CSDDD, and if so, when? How do I ensure that sustainability and circularity within my organization are affordable – or better yet – profitable? What geopolitical developments play an accelerating or delaying role? What is my competitive position compared to other companies or countries in the ESG field? The question for many companies is: how do I deal with this? Who can help me with which choices I need to make and when?
Here is how we can assist with circularity
KPMG can advise on all aspects of ESG and circularity, from strategy and compliance to implementation and assurance:
- Developing an ESG strategy with a particular focus on circularity. What approach suits my organization? What does this mean for short and long term strategy?
- Complying with the right ESG reporting (CSRD, CSRDDD, ESPR, CBAM, etc.); What do I need to comply with? How do I ensure compliance? What data do I need to collect, and what is the right data? How do I strategically use that data?
- Implement or integrate circular economy in data & technology investments.

We also invest in supporting global members of the WBCSD.
- WBCSD
KPMG was at the forefront of the development of the WBCSD Circularity Transition Indicators (CTI) framework, the first global open standard for measuring and monitoring circularity. The CTI framework provides a common language and enables companies to measure and monitor their circular performance. Subsequently, it provides a seven step process on how companies can use the insights for business decision making and for setting a circular strategy with circular targets and objectives.
The CTI framework allows companies to take ownership of their circular transition by assessing the linear risks and discovering circular opportunities. KPMG specialists can help your business in obtaining insights into circular performance by following the Circular Transition Indicator framework process. KPMG has helped multiple companies in adopting the framework and has first-hand knowledge as co-author of CTI.
