Barbara was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board in June 2025.
Barbara began her career at ABN AMRO Bank, where she held a variety of commercial and risk management roles. She subsequently joined Banco Santander in Madrid, serving in several senior management positions, including Chief of Staff to the Group CEO, and completed a two-year posting in Washington, D.C. She later became a member of the Executive Committee and Board Committees of the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom.
Prior to transitioning to non-executive and advisory roles in June 2025, Barbara served on Citigroup’s UK Executive Committee and the EMEA Management Team, where she was responsible for regulatory engagement, policy, and strategy across 55 countries in the EMEA region. She was also a member of various regional risk and crisis management committees.
Barbara has extensive board-level experience, both as a board member and as a chair.
