The rise of artificial intelligence represents a fundamental shift in the agenda of supervisory boards. This not only presents new opportunities for value creation, but also entails increasing responsibilities in the areas of governance, risk and ethics.
Subject
We are pleased to invite you to this session, in which we will focus on the implications of AI for the boardroom. During this meeting, we will discuss the recently developed AI Governance Principles for Boards, a global initiative by KPMG and INSEAD, designed to support board members in steering responsible and forward-looking oversight of AI.
Our special guest is Prof. Annet Aris (INSEAD), co-author of the principles and a leading voice in the field of corporate governance. Drawing on her experience as a member of supervisory boards at international organisations, she will discuss the strategic choices facing boards today.
Topics to be covered include:
- How supervisory boards can effectively integrate AI into their strategic agenda
- Striking a balance between innovation, risks and long-term value creation
- Practical guidelines for governance, oversight and decision-making
- The role of board members in building trust and accountability around AI
This session offers ample opportunity for in-depth discussions and interaction with colleagues in an environment designed to foster reflection and dialogue.
