Tax functions are currently undergoing a deep transformation globally, caused by factors such as accelerated digitization, regulatory pressure, a shortage of specialized talent, and growing demand for transparency, all of which are redefining the role of the tax department within organizations.
As a result, it’s clear that organizations are no longer focused on complying with their tax obligations, but must anticipate change, adapt with agility, and contribute strategic value to the business. This evolution involves rethinking operating models, incorporating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and having talent prepared to face the increasingly demanding expectations of clients, governments, investors, and general society.
