We are committed to our communities

“Citizenship” or “responsible citizens”. Regardless of the term, in KPMG we recognize our responsibility as social members, always adhering to our firm's principle of commitment to local communities. This way, on both a personal and a collective level, we implement a series of actions to support the communities we live and work in, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 2 for eradicating poverty and eliminating hunger.

Our actions for our communities include:

Cook for Good 2021

For the 5th year, KPMG, in the context of the company's social responsibility and on the occasion of the United Nations World Hunger Day and World Food Day, implemented with great success the established action "Cook for Good" ("We cook for a good cause"). The action was attended by 40 volunteer employees, who surpassed themselves and their culinary skills, cooking more than 200 care meals, "breaking" the record of previous years.

Actions to support the work of ELEPAP

Our long-term cooperation with ELEPAP has given rise to a plethora of multi-level initiatives for its support. At the same time, the people of KPMG contribute in a number of ways by holding Bazaars at our offices every Christmas and Easter and donating school supplies at the start of each school year. In addition, KPMG offers promotional space at our conferences, as means for ELEPAP to raise awareness of their work within the business world.

“Sweet Steps of Life” book

KPMG, the Gerolymatos pharmaceutical company and the famous chef Dimitris Skarmoutsos worked together for the creation of the children’s book “Sweet Steps of Life” with its proceeds going to ELEPAP. The subject of the book is the life of a disabled child and it describes the power of friendship and love.

“Perama” initiative

One of the most long-lasting action carried out by KPΜG in Greece is the “Perama” initiative, which was launched in 2005. Since then and every year, KPMG provides necessities, first aid items, clothing and toys to more than 120 families living under the poverty line. For this contribution, KPMG was recognised with the Bronze Prize in the Responsible Business Awards.
