To examine the key challenges and opportunities unfolding in this rapidly evolving sector, we spoke to investors, as part of the KPMG Metaverse Investor Perspectives Survey to outline the strategies and solutions that will shape the future of the industry. 

      When it comes to the evolution of the metaverse, the future remains bright. Amid ongoing uncertainty fuelled by macroeconomic conditions and sluggish consumer engagement, investor interest in the metaverse continues to remain positive with venture capital and instituitional investor investments currently making up nearly 45% of investor assets, with figures expected to increase over the next five years. Yet, short-term issues remain with nearly 70% of investors indicating concerns about regulation, privacy and widespread adoption of the technology.
