Aftab Gumani

Aftab is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and graduated from Mumbai University.  Aftab has spent 20+ years working with the Big4 in the UK, India and the Middle East. Understanding of clear expectations of the BAC members and setting up a quality presentation with insightful, relevant and independent information is one of the key strengths of Aftab.  He has extensive international audit experience and has worked with some of the largest listed and the most prestigious Big4 clients in practices around the world. Aftab has led audits of large telecom companies including Ooredoo, Vodafone and Reliance Communication.  

In Qatar, Aftab also led an audit of the world’s second largest shipping company Nakilat successfully for the tenure of 5 years.  Some of his prestigious clients also include Mshereib Properties, Sidra Medicine, Qatar Foundation and Mannai Corporation.  In family businesses, he looks after some of the large and diversified Al Muftah Group (top 100 Arab family businesses in the Middle East), Transind Group, Abdulla Abdul Gani (Toyota Qatar) and Al Rayyan Group.  Aftab also has an extensive group audits and international audits experience across many sectors including shipping, education, telecoms, auto dealership, real estate and construction.  Aftab regularly advices on IFRS technical matters to some of Qatar’s largest businesses and international organizations. Aftab project manages audits, monitoring and reviewing the audit team to ensure that work is being performed in line with the firm’s methodology.  He constantly guides team members on technical aspects of the audits and works with them to identify and analyze technical issues/problems throughout the audit, ensuring efficiency. Besides ,Aftab has conducted various IPO audits for companies preparing to list on the London and Indian stock exchanges.
