      How can we help?

Cyberattacks are one of the greatest threats to business today. Regardless of their industry, companies face the risk of data loss, business disruption, and financial losses. The scale and sophistication of incidents are growing, and any security breach can cost a company its reputation and customer trust. KPMG supports organizations in building resilience to cyber threats by combining global experience with local understanding of market needs.

A data-driven organization effectively and consistently uses data to make decisions at all levels of the organization (strategic, tactical, and operational). Therefore, the growing amount of data generated in every area of activity and organizational process is a huge opportunity for growth or improved profitability, but it can also pose a major organizational challenge.

We help our clients at every stage of their evolution towards becoming data-driven organizations, using state-of-the-art cloud services:

      • Data strategy – developing strategies in the areas of business (what to measure), technology (which tools to use), and processes (which production model to use)
      • Implementation of a cloud data platform – architecture and implementation of a data platform or migration of an existing on-premise solution to the cloud (Microsoft Azure technology)
      • Business Intelligence (BI) application development – architecture design, development of data models and visualization layer in the form of BI reports (Microsoft Power BI technology), as well as change management and training for tool users
      • Data governance, Master Data Management (MDM), and data quality management – development of policies and procedures and implementation of tools for data governance and data ownership management
      • Development of low-code applications based on Microsoft Power Platform – digitization and automation of specific business processes, including ensuring high-quality sources for data analytics.

New technologies based on machine learning, predictive analytics and big data can greatly streamline decision-making processes within the organization. We help build data-driven organizations, where technology points to the directions where the organization should intensify its efforts, and sometimes can even take action without human involvement.

Maintaining corporate liquidity is one of the most important goals of every chief financial officer (CFO). A company may be profitable but not generate enough cash to cover its liabilities. CFOs need the right tools and up-to-date information to manage cash effectively.

KPMG support in the use of Business Intelligence tools in liquidity management – project process:

      • Step 1. Definition of business needs. In the first step, we conduct workshops to clarify business needs, major process inefficiencies, and information gaps. As part of this task, we analyze the company's existing reports, their information content, and format.
      • Step 2. Definition of indicators. Next, we define the indicators and calculation formula, taking into account the necessary assumptions for full automation of their calculation, e.g., different types of documents, statuses, reason codes, and how they should be handled.
      • Step 3. Identification of data sources. In the next step, we identify the data sources that are necessary to implement data analytics, such as transaction systems, flat files, or sources for market data (interest rates, exchange rates, etc.). At this stage, we also refine the definitions of indicators and calculation formulas.
      • Step 4. Preparing solution mock-ups. After identifying business needs and the available data range, we prepare solution mock-ups (graphic versions) and functional and business specifications. These materials form the basis for the implementation team's work, and the client knows exactly how their solution will work and look.
      • Step 5. Creating a data warehouse. The next stage of work is to prepare a dedicated analytical environment – a data warehouse as a source for analysis and Business Intelligence reporting. If the organization already has a warehouse, we can use it
      • Step 6. Implementation of data analytics. The final step is to implement data analytics based on the agreed specifications and mock-ups, using the data integrated in the data warehouse. We submit the finished solution for testing by business users and conduct training on how to use the wide range of BI analytics capabilities.
