Michał has been a member of KPMG International Corporate Tax Team since 2007. Before he joined KPMG Poland Michał gained valuable experience working for Caplin & Drysdale Washington DC office in USA where his primary responsibilities were issues concerning international tax matters. He specializes in international taxation and M&A projects. He has advised on structuring of numerous investments into Poland. Michał also provides support to clients in respect of personal and corporate income tax planning vehicles and international financing and holding structures in connection to both inbound and outbound investments. Michał represents a number of clients in tax cases in front tax authorities and courts. He acted as a proxy in the landmark CJEU case C-190/12 involving an US investment fund. Michal leads the EU Tax law practice in Poland; is a member of KPMG EU and International Tax networks.
