Abdul Rauf has hands on experience of more than 34 years of practicing taxation laws in Pakistan including direct/indirect/service tax. He started his career with EY and later joined KPMG in January 1994.
He possesses experience in the areas of tax planning, efficient transactions structuring, cross border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligence and review of transfer pricing documentation besides tax compliance and other advisory services. He also involved in the review of tax provision of financial statement of various high-level clients from different industries and advising clients on changes in tax regulations and assisting them in evaluating impacts of changes, advising local and foreign investors on various incentives available for investment in different sectors.
His experience also includes representations before the assessing and appellate authorities and representations before Revenue authorities. He has also served local / foreign clients from manufacturing & trading, energy and natural resources, information technology, communication, airlines, banking & finance, other service industries.
He was also involved in Quality Performance Review (QPR) of KPMG Pakistan and other member firms of KPMG in the MESA Region.
