Ali joined the audit department of the firm in 1999 and has more than 22 years of experience with KPMG.

He became part of Financial Advisory in 2004 and qualified chartered accountancy in 2005. Since then, he has been working on various M&As and lead various due diligence and valuation engagements including financial feasibilities, business plans etc.

During this journey, he has also worked with KPMG in Kuwait and UAE (secondments).

He has experience of working across the transaction cycle and providing advisory in the areas of due diligence, valuations, transaction origination, preparation, negotiations and financial close. He also has expertise in Purchase Price Allocation engagements.

Ali has been involved in a number of valuation engagements for International Brands Limited, Fecto Belarus Tractors, DYL Motorcycles, Mandviwalla Entertainment, National Bank of Kuwait, Commercial Bank of Kuwait, ABN AMRO NV, RBS Pakistan, Faysal Bank, KASB Group, Lucky Cement, Al Baraka Bank Pakistan Limited etc.

Ali has also been involved as a team leader in a number of financial due diligence engagements.

His sectoral expertise include Banking & Financial Services, Fintech, Pharma, Retail & Real Estate.

He has also worked with various tech startups while he was working with Bold Investment Co. Ltd.

He has attended various international trainings including KPMG’s accreditation trainings for Transaction Services, Valuations and other Advisory trainings.
