The KPMG Integration and Separation (I&S) team is a cross Tasman team led out of Deal Advisory with dedicated professionals located in Auckland, Wellington and Australia and is part of a global KPMG merger integration team that has supported over 500 integrations.

Our I&S team provides pre, in and post-deal advice to clients acquiring or selling businesses. Our advice ranges from deal strategy, synergy assessments for integration to planning and executing the integration of the acquired (or to be acquired) business into another company or group of companies.

Equally, our separation advice (for both buyers and sellers) ranges from understanding the current businesses entanglements with the seller to planning and executing the carve out and stand-up of the business as a stand-alone entity.

Recognising that acquisitions and divestures are inherently complex, KPMG partner with clients to implement a structured, professional approach to preserve and deliver value whilst making the process as seamless as possible through the lifecycle of a transaction.
