Greg has significant risk, data management, and intelligence experience having worked in senior roles at a top New Zealand Bank, as well as in criminal intelligence and investigation roles in public sector agencies in New Zealand and Australia.
Greg’s risk experience has been across both first and second line operational risk teams where he managed complicated risk events (including data loss events), assessed change-related risk for complex projects and ensured appropriate controls were in place, enhanced data governance processes, and led teams of risk and data professionals. Most recently Greg has been a passionate advocate for improving data management practices (particularly related to data quality and data governance) in order help achieve business benefits and reduce risk.
Greg is known for building excellent relationships with stakeholders, taking a pragmatic approach to risk management, and seeking opportunities to improve business and risk management processes through simplification, the use of data, or the adoption of new technology.
