Rupert is an Associate Director based out of our Timaru office covering the wider Canterbury and Otago regions. Rupert grew up in a Sheep and Beef farming family in Central Otago. He began his professional career in Canterbury and North Otago as a Rural Manager for a major New Zealand bank, servicing Dairy, Sheep & Beef farmers.

He is passionate and enthusiastic about agriculture. Having forged his path into farm ownership and managing the day-to-day operational farm responsibilities keeps him current in the daily opportunities and challenges surrounding agriculture.

Rupert’s background in rural finance and current on-farm involvement aligns with his desire to work alongside and relate to rural businesses to support them at any stage throughout their business cycle. He is driven to add value and direction to clients as they navigate the journey towards achieving their business and lifestyle goals.

Rupert assists clients with all business operations, including strategic planning, governance, succession, budgeting, interest rate risk management and funding proposals.

In his spare time, you will find Rupert on his dairy support/beef finishing property near Pleasant Point, South Canterbury.
