Gareth’s previous Transformation Project Director, Programme and Project Management, and PMO roles provide a sound grounding in project governance and project delivery covering the whole spectrum from initial scoping and design, ongoing project assurance/quality management, risk and issue management, through to post project reviews and benefit realisation Gareth has extensive experience in the design, implementation and leading of programmes and PMO’s – at project, programme and portfolio level. He specialises in enabling organisations to operate both traditional project management approaches and Agile methods, within existing governance and funding models. For KPMG Gareth has led multiple transformation programmes across numerous sectors and had developed KPMG’s Transformation and PMO as a Service model. The Programme Management Office as a Service (PMOaaS) is KPMG’s offering to help programmes mobilise quickly and achieve the benefits of a mature PMO from day one without having to build the capability from scratch. A ‘turn-key’ PMO with an experienced team, proven collateral and tooling allows the organisation to focus on the outcomes of the programme and not on the mechanics of making it robust or the expense of running it in-house.
