Sarah gained over 20 years’ experience of programme leadership and values-driven transformation including experience with large scale multi-site, technology and business change, before focussing on resilience, adaptation and risk management relating to climate change. She has worked extensively for Banking and Finance sector organisations in New Zealand and in the UK, as well as for Telco and Public Sector Agencies in New Zealand. Prior to joining KPMG in 2021 she led the Adaptation work programme for New Zealand’s Transport Agency, developed guidance for NZ government policymakers and was a member of the National Adaptation Plan working group.
Sarah has a broad, facilitation and leadership skillset including human centred design principles, the development of team and climate change resilience capability as well as collaborative and community decision-making processes. Sarah’s work has included leading sector and organisation climate risk and opportunity assessments and developing scenarios, action plans, decision-making and benefits realisation and tracking frameworks. She has also worked closely with local government and community groups on place-based system resilience, focussing on the intersection of critical infrastructure and values.
