      Josie is a Director in KPMG New Zealand's Tax practice, based in Tauranga, specialising in employment taxes, payroll governance, fringe benefit tax (FBT), PAYE, KiwiSaver, employee share schemes, and wider people-related tax matters. She works with organisations across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors to navigate complex tax obligations, manage risk, and strengthen compliance frameworks.

      With more than 13 years' experience advising New Zealand businesses and government organisations, Josie is known for delivering practical, commercially focused advice that helps clients address technical tax issues while improving underlying payroll and governance processes. Her work includes leading Inland Revenue Participating Advisor reviews, employment tax health checks, due diligence engagements, and responses to Inland Revenue audits and reviews.

      Josie regularly advises on FBT, PAYE, contractor and withholding tax obligations, employee share schemes, remuneration structures, and tax governance. She is passionate about helping organisations identify compliance risks early, implement sustainable processes, and build confidence in their tax and payroll systems.
