      Peter is a Director with the KPMG Cyber team in Wellington. He has over 13 years experience in cyber, having led one of New Zealand’s top security consultancies before joining KPMG. Peter often works with boards and executive teams, helping them understand their organisations’ risk profiles, and the best approach to improving their overall security posture. Peter also regularly contributes to cyber thought leadership conversations, and is called on by media for his knowledge and insights.

      1. Areas of expertise

        New Zealand public sector cyber security experience including delivering certification and accreditation services to a variety of agencies.

        Working closely with organisation decision-makers, regularly helping boards and executive teams work through cyber security strategy, risk models and simulation exercises.

        Focused on people and communication, allowing for liaising with people both within IT and the wider business. Security advisory and assurance work to organisations in the public sector.

        Delivered certification and accreditation services for (amongst others): Microsoft Azure, FMIS and payroll systems, Staff rostering and management systems, Microsoft Purview, and Data management platforms.

        Strong understanding of the security expectations within NZISM and PSR. Media and presentation enagagments for cyber security advice and discussion.
