KPMG Whānau Network provides a platform where parents and caregivers can connect, share stories, and insights into what it is like being a working parent or caregiver.

This network is open to all KPMG caregivers of a child/children including: mums, dads, grandparents, step-parents, caregivers/guardians, and whāngai. We aim to ensure all employees with whānau are provided a place for support and empathy in their shared experiences. With over 100 members, you'll be sure someone has experienced the same adventures as you!

      The Network includes:

      • Quarterly Catch-ups: virtually and across the motu in person
      • Informative articles: to help guide life as a working guardian
      • Guest speakers: reflecting on their journey as a working guardian
      • Environment to create personal connections: through shared experiences

I am excited to take parental leave in the back half of 2025 to be a full-time dad for my second son, and I think it's fantastic that KPMG provides this opportunity for both parents. Juggling work and family can be hard, but the things I have learned and connections I have made in the Whānau Network have gone a long way to normalizing the experiences everyone has as parents.

Over the past 3 years I have learned to be more forgiving of myself, understanding that we are all doing our best. I am thankful to be in a workplace that supports my career while allowing me to be a good mum to my children.
