Climate change is reshaping the environment in which businesses operate.
Expectations from clients, regulators, investors and communities continue to evolve, while organisations are under increasing pressure to demonstrate progress on environmental performance.
KPMG New Zealand's Climate Action Plan sets out how the firm intends to reduce its environmental impact and contribute to New Zealand's transition to a lower-emissions future.
The plan provides a practical roadmap for action across our operations, supply chain, people and client work.

Introducing our
Climate Action Plan
The plan focuses on four priority areas:
A key objective of the plan is to achieve a 50% absolute reduction across Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, compared with a 2019 baseline, while reducing waste and improving resource efficiency across the business.
The plan also recognises the importance of collaboration, acknowledging that many environmental impacts sit within the wider value chain and require engagement with suppliers, landlords and other stakeholders.
The Climate Action Plan is supported by KPMG New Zealand's Wheel of Change framework, which helps guide decision-making by considering trust, impact, people and financial viability alongside the firm's purpose, values and commitment to quality and integrity. As we implement the plan, we will continue to monitor progress, report transparently on performance and share lessons from our own climate journey to help inform conversations with clients and the wider market.
