Malta Enterprise offers green and sustainable incentives designed to help businesses reduce their environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and transition toward cleaner and more resilient operations.

One of the core measures promoting these goals is the Smart and Sustainable Investment Grant, which supports enterprises investing at least €10,000 to achieve sustainability gains, enhance environmental performance, or adopt digital solutions that lead to more efficient resource use. The scheme provides a 50% cash grant of up to €100,000 per project, encouraging investments in areas such as waste minimisation, sustainable materials, energy and water efficiency, and sustainable process improvements.

Complementing this is the Green Mobility Scheme, which helps businesses transition to cleaner transport solutions. It supports investments in electric vehicle charging infrastructure as well as the leasing of clean or zero‑emission commercial vehicles, offering tax credits and interest rate subsidies to accelerate sustainable mobility adoption. This scheme forms part of Malta’s broader climate‑neutrality goals and is available to enterprises employing at least five full‑time workers.

      Application deadline

Applications for assistance under these Schemes may be submitted by 30 September 2026 (Smart and Sustainable Investment Grant) and by 30 November 2026 (Green Mobility Scheme).
