Bernard is a seasoned accounting professional with over 19 years of post-qualification experience. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) where he has served as a member of the Practitioners Development Committee for more than seven years. Bernard holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) both from the University of Nairobi.
He joined the firm in 2002 as an associate advisor and has risen up the ranks to Advisory Country Leader for Ethiopia. He is an active member of the financial sector community and is responsible for a number of key accounts leading active client service teams.
Bernard is passionate about people and in his career has introduced a number of progressive initiatives most notably in Accounting Advisory Services. He has been involved in major projects some of which include: complex group consolidation engagements, accounting change, finance function reviews, financial reporting, accounting reconciliations and major International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) compliance projects across various sectors. He is also a proven leader in Accounting and Payroll outsourcing Services.
He has been a key member of the firm in the Ethiopian market and has played the coordination role of our services for the last few years.
