Event information
“IFRS 17, Insurance Contracts” went into effect globally on 1 January 2023. Many insurers and analysts have hailed IFRS 17 as a positive change in the accounting industry, saying it offers better comparability than IFRS 4. In Indonesia, IFRS 17 was adopted as PSAK 74 and will go into effect on 1 January 2025. This two-year gap will enable insurers in Indonesia to leverage the experience of the global community when implementing IFRS 17. With that in mind, KPMG is committed to providing our insights on the information provided by a number of global insurers on the implementation of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9, Financial Instruments.
Therefore, we are pleased to invite you to participate in our 2023 KPMG Board Governance Forum (BGF) breakfast briefing series. This session will be hosted at the KPMG Clubhouse on the 21st floor of the Menara Astra building. We will highlight key discussions on the implementation of IFRS 17. Attending this event will help you to stay informed and up-to-date on the latest global developments in IFRS 17. KPMG’s insurance practice leaders will cover key topics, such as:
- What do those charged with governance (TCWG) need to know about IFRS 17?
- Global insurers’ half year reporting under IFRS 17 and IFRS 9
- First year audits under PSAK 74.
