Michael Horn

Michael is Director of Operations for PT KPMG Siddharta Advisory, KPMG Indonesia’s advisory services company. Serving more than 30 years in senior roles in Asia-Pacific and globally, he has considerable experience in Director and C-Suite level positions leading regions, functions, office and teams. Michael’s role as operations lead spans the whole of KPMG Indonesia’s advisory business, and includes his leadership guidance and support driving the growth of KPMG Indonesia’s Turnaround & Restructuring team and ESG Advisory Services team. Michael’s experience includes performance turnaround, financial restructuring, financial and operations performance monitoring, ESG strategy and reporting, social audit, supply chain sustainability, carbon accounting and decarbonization. 

In past roles Michael has led transactions and services teams in financial and corporate matters, acting for lenders, borrowers, project developers, governments, bond issuers and credit enhancers. He has been engaged in matters throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with three decades’ experience in Indonesia, as well as in ASEAN, North Asia, South Asia, Australia, the United State and Europe. He has served in senior positions in Indonesia, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. He was previously Asia-Pacific Managing Director of a New York-based AAA-rated infrastructure and structured finance investor, Chief Risk Officer of a quasi-public infrastructure lender and Office Managing Partner and Practice Leader of several global law firms. In his role supporting the operations of KPMG Indonesia’s ESG Advisory Services practice, he leads KPMG Indonesia’s dedication to sustainability through integration of Environmental, Social and Governance at the heart of the firm's service offerings and operations.
