Aimée O’Connor, an audit assistant at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, based in Jersey, sat the ACCA Advanced Financial Management (AFM) and Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) in June having studied with BPP International Finance in Jersey, achieving 100% and 85%, which were the highest marks awarded to any student in the world in this sitting. A total of 124,727 ACCA exams were completed across all papers in the June exam sitting.
Aimée’s recent successes build on her achievements during the September 2022 sitting, where she achieved 98% in Taxation (TX) and was awarded another global high mark. In combination with her recent successes, Aimée has been awarded the Gold Medal, for the student who achieved the highest combined mark worldwide for the Strategic Professional Level exams.
Ms O’Connor joined KPMG in the Crown Dependencies on the firm’s School Leaver programme, having graduated from Hautlieu in 2021. Throughout the three-year programme, KPMG support students to attend in-person tuition and revision courses at BPP.
When trainees are not studying for their exams, they work full time developing their work experience and skills in order to obtain the sufficient experience to become a Chartered Accountant.

The Advanced Financial Management and Advanced Audit and Assurance paper sat by Ms O’Connor forms part of the ACCA Strategic Professional Level, which begins to look at qualities required by strategic professional accountants. The course at BPP International Finance in Jersey comprises classroom tuition as well as a significant amount of self-study pre- and post-tuition in order to be fully prepared for the exam.
