What is Foresight and why is it relevant?

Foresight is a systematic process used to recognise future developments and trends at an early stage in order to be prepared for changes. Methods such as trend and scenario analyses or forecasting are used to create future scenarios that promote strategic decisions and innovations. Companies use foresight to shape their long-term strategy and prepare for market changes, while governments use it to plan political measures.

How does Foresight help our clients to be better prepared for the future?

Foresight promotes strategic planning and innovation by anticipating future needs and technologies. For our customers, foresight means that they can adapt their business models or strategies to remain competitive, minimise risks and better plan their budgets. This is illustrated by a real-life example. A large technology company has used foresight to understand the impact of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and make strategic adjustments. Regularly reviewing the results ensures that they remain relevant.
