Businesses are already putting sustainability at the forefront of what they do on Earth and in the years ahead, the same will be applied to our activities in space as they become more accessible. Issues such as space debris and the potential risks of opening up space travel and exploration will become front of mind and solutions will have to found.
Additionally, space tech, Earth Observation and studies of other planets could hold the answer to understanding terrestrial sustainability and identifying best practice to sustain our activities on Earth.
When you see the Earth from space, it feels like the Earth is our spacecraft and the people that inhabit it are its crew. Such a view convinces us we need to look after our Earth and protect it.
