The KPMG member firm in Brazil prepared a February 2024 report (Portuguese) covering updates in the field of foreign trade.

In particular, the report covers the following developments:

  • Normative Instruction No. 2,169/2023 which approves the consolidated text of the explanatory notes of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (NESH) published by the World Customs Organization (WCO)
  • Normative Instruction No. 2,171/2023 which approves the translation into Portuguese of the collection of classification opinions of the WCO Harmonized System Committee updated until June 2023
  • Ordinance Suara No. 43/2024 which promotes changes to Ordinance No. 42/2023 regarding services required through a digital process
