Certain imported goods related to electricity generation not subject to PAIS tax
Resolution 714/2023 provides that effective 1 September 2023, the importation of certain goods related to the generation of electrical energy (i.e., whose interested parties have foreign financing to pay for their imports or whose interested parties comply with the requirement set forth in the last paragraph of Article 1 of Resolution No. ° 671 (dated 10 August 2023) of the Ministry of Energy) will not be subject to the PAIS tax (Tax for an Inclusive and Solidary Argentina).
In the case of goods related to the generation of electrical energy from renewable energy sources, the provisions of the resolution will only apply to certain specified projects.
