      Uğur Karakaya began his career as a software engineer in the Türkiye team of Netscape, a pioneer in technology services and innovation worldwide. Later, he worked as a director at Meteksan System within Bilkent Holding, where he took part in the strategy, process, planning, design, and development stages of many fundamental e-government projects, including Mernis, the Identity Sharing System (KPS), the Address Information System, the E-Government Gateway (turkiye.gov.tr), E-Maliye, and the New Identity Cards and Passports, between 2000 and 2007.

      From 2007 to 2019, he held senior positions at Oracle, Teradata, and Accenture, leading teams to complete numerous consultancy and transformation projects for major telecom, finance, insurance, and holding companies in the private sector. His main areas of expertise include strategic leadership in transformation and consultancy for telecom, banking, public sector, and consumer (B2C) enterprises, as well as business and digital transformation strategy and implementation, senior management consultancy, and program management.

      Uğur, who has been a corporate partner of alphaform since 2022, assumed leadership of the Management Consultancy (MC) department at KPMG Türkiye as of October 1, 2024.
