      Erdem Erdem began his career at KPMG Türkiye in 2010 and has focused his experience in tax advisory primarily on international assignments (Global Mobility) processes. During this period, he took an active role in international projects and, in 2017, gained first-hand experience of global cross-border mobility practices through a short-term assignment at the KPMG Italy – Turin office. This international exposure further strengthened his technical expertise in Global Mobility and his global coordination capabilities. He has extensive practical experience in areas such as ensuring tax and social security compliance for international assignments, shadow payroll processes, gross/net compensation modeling, tax equalization mechanisms, and the design of mobility policies. Today, he manages end-to-end Global Mobility processes for more than 140 corporate clients and provides strategic advisory services to companies operating across various sectors. Erdem also delivers comprehensive advisory services to High-Net-Worth Individuals, covering multi-country income structures, residence–source analyses, the tax assessment of equity- and incentive-based compensation plans, and personal tax planning. In addition, with his deep technical knowledge of income tax legislation, he supports not only expatriate employees but also individuals resident in Türkiye on complex personal income tax matters. Erdem became a Partner in 2023 and, as the Country Leader of Global Mobility Services at KPMG Türkiye, develops holistic mobility strategies that optimize tax and legal obligations related to cross-border employee mobility, reduce compliance costs, and enhance operational efficiency for organizations.
