Orhan Akova, who began his career at KPMG in 1998, has continued to serve as a Partner since 2010. His extensive experience in audit and assurance services spans the banking, financial services, energy, industrial, trade, services, and telecommunications sectors. In addition to his comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices in Türkiye and Turkish Financial Reporting Standards, he also has extensive expertise in IFRS and US GAAP. Alongside his audit experience, he has significant involvement in special projects such as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and bond issuances in both domestic and international markets. He has also provided advisory services to foreign banks in bank establishment projects in Türkiye, including the development of credit models. Between 2009 and 2017, he served as the Regulatory Compliance Officer for KPMG Türkiye. Since 2017, Orhan Akova has been a member of KPMG Türkiye’s Management Team as the Quality and Risk Management Partner, and he also serves as KPMG Türkiye’s Ethics and Independence Leader.
