      Funda Aslanoğlu joined KPMG in 1998 and has been serving as a Partner since 2011.

      She has extensive experience in auditing across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on the banking sector and other financial institutions, including insurance companies, investment firms, real estate investment trusts, financing companies, and asset management companies. In addition, she has led audit engagements in the manufacturing and services sectors.

      Funda possesses deep expertise in Turkish accounting practices as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). Throughout her career, she has led a number of complex and high-profile projects, including initial public offerings (IPOs), domestic and international bond issuances, securitization transactions, and due diligence engagements.

      Since December 2020, Funda has been working as a part of the leadership team of KPMG Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMA) Audit Quality Banking Centre of Excellence, a multinational team dedicated to enhancing audit quality within the banking sector. In this role, she closely monitors global and regional developments affecting the banking industry and related audit risks, while contributing to initiatives that support and strengthen banking audit quality across the EMA region.
