With economic uncertainty persisting, governments are keen to promote growth and competitiveness, including calls for some regulators to cut red tape and remove unnecessary bureaucracy. While firms may welcome this, uncertainty and fragmentation of rules across jurisdictions could make it harder in practice to anticipate and plan for regulatory change.
