Singapore, 26 August 2025 – KPMG in Singapore has launched the 2025 edition of Our Impact Plan (OIP), a comprehensive roadmap that underscores the firm’s leadership in responsible AI adoption and sustainable business practices. With a focus on innovation, inclusivity, and long-term value creation, the plan highlights KPMG’s commitment to addressing critical challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, and social equity.

AI as a Force for Good

As artificial intelligence reshapes industries, KPMG is taking a proactive stance to ensure its adoption is both strategic and ethical. The firm has leveraged the ISO 42001 (AI) certification framework, a global benchmark for AI governance, and enhanced its Trusted AI Framework to guide the development of transparent, human-centric, and ethical AI solutions.

“AI is not just a tool; it’s a transformative force that can solve complex challenges and unlock new opportunities,” said Lee Sze Yeng, Managing Partner, KPMG in Singapore. “But its potential can only be realised when it is guided by trust, responsibility, and a commitment to sustainability.”

This approach is already making an impact. KPMG has integrated AI into its global smart audit platform, KPMG Clara, enabling auditors to identify high-risk transactions with greater precision. This innovation not only enhances audit quality but also sets a new standard for how AI can drive trust and transparency in business.

      Sustainability in Action

KPMG’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its measurable achievements. The firm has reduced its carbon emissions per employee to 2.95 tCO2e in FY24—a significant reduction from 12.99 tCO2e in FY19.

In the realm of social equity, KPMG in Singapore draws strength from a diverse workforce that blends seasoned professionals with younger talent. Nearly 70% of our people are under 35 and our teams represent more than 40 nationalities across multidisciplinary backgrounds. This diversity fuels innovation and enables us to deliver inclusive, future-ready perspectives to our clients.

Diversity also extends to leadership. Close to 40% of KPMG in Singapore Partners were female as at end-FY24, reflecting an upward trend since FY20. This merit-based progression underscores our commitment to equal opportunities across all levels of the firm.

Together, these efforts align with Singapore’s Forward Singapore agenda, which seeks to build a resilient and inclusive future.

Innovation and Governance: Building Resilience for the Future

Innovation remains a cornerstone of KPMG’s strategy. The firm’s ALEC3’s Vault initiative, which crowdsources ideas from employees, is fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration. Meanwhile, targeted investments in AI skills and digital resilience are equipping KPMG’s workforce to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Governance, too, is a critical focus. KPMG’s Trusted AI Framework ensures that AI solutions are not only effective but also ethical, transparent and people centric. This commitment to upholding governance extends to helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments, from carbon taxation to sustainability reporting.

      A Blueprint for the Future

Our Impact Plan 2025 is more than a corporate strategy—it’s a roadmap for how businesses can drive meaningful change. By integrating responsible AI, cutting-edge innovation, and sustainability into its operations, KPMG in Singapore is setting a powerful example for the industry.

As the world grapples with challenges like climate change and digital disruption, KPMG’s approach demonstrates that trust and growth must go hand in hand. The firm’s efforts are not just about meeting today’s expectations but about shaping a future where businesses, communities, and the planet can thrive together.
