In a display of sporting excellence, perseverance and teamwork, KPMG has once again emerged overall champions of the annual Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) Games* in 2023, making it an incredible eight years in a row at the top.
Months of intense training and close competition proved rewarding for our KPMG athletes who topped the table with 60 points, 20 more than our closest rivals in the overall ranking. The firm also clinched gold medals in beach volleyball, cricket, indoor volleyball, ISCA Run, LAN Gaming - CS:GO, soccer, softball and ultimate frisbee.
Managing Partner Lee Sze Yeng received the championship trophy on behalf of the firm at the official closing ceremony of the ISCA Games on 24 Jan 2024.
This year’s victory was an especially impressive feat, after the Games were suspended for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Amit Sadana, Partner and Advisor to the KPMG Rec Club, said, “At every edition of the ISCA Games, we witness pride and enthusiasm through the sporting exploits of our people. To have over 400 colleagues coming together to win it again after the three-year pause is testament to our vibrant and collaborative culture at KPMG, where our people thrive with us by working hard and playing even harder.”
Indeed, this success cements the firm’s status as a sporting powerhouse among professional services firms. Check out the photos of our victorious athletes below!
*The ISCA Games was first organised more than 30 years ago by ISCA. The objective of the Games is to build a united, cohesive accounting fraternity by fostering camaraderie among members of the profession.
Well done to our KPMG athletes!
