The EU’s new AML package

KPMG invites you to a breakfast seminar where we will deep-dive into various aspects of the new regulatory regime and discuss the implications for financial institutions in Sweden!

On 24 April 2024, the EU Parliament adopted the proposal to introduce the new Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism package. This includes the adoption of a new Regulation as well as amendments to the existing Directive. The AML package also introduces a centralized AML Authority (AMLA) to be established in Frankfurt and tasked with supervising the most “risky” institutions.

In order to monitor the development and support our clients, KPMG has established a dedicated AMLA office headed by Götz Fisher who will join us on this occasion.
