Marie joined KPMG as Partner specialized in sustainability. She was a member of the European Commission’s (EC) Technical Expert Group (TEG) that advised the EC on the EU Taxonomy, the EU Green Bond Standard, Paris aligned and transition benchmark indices and guidelines accompanying the NFRD (NBG). She has focused full time last year on EU regulations and next steps in the sustainable finance agenda, in order to connect the dots.
Marie has a holistic approach to sustainability and has been Head of Sustainability for two large cap multinationals in different industries: SEB and Tele2. Prior to that she was heading EY Sweden’s sustainability advisory services and she has been in the field for an NGO (Médecins sans Frontières). She has over 20 years of experience from working with sustainability in various capacities. These include knowledge of most international standards and best practices. She has worked with the GRI since G2, developed a Sustainability Due Diligence method after the UNGP was updated, arranged a corporate responsibility capital markets day, for investors and other stakeholders, with CEO, CFO and a Board member. She has followed the formalization of sustainability, from early days to today.
