      Timeline of KPMG in Portugal, with key events between 1965 and 2023. 1965 KMG Thomson McLintock opens a branch office in Portugal, located in Lisbon. 1981 Peat Marwick starts up in Portugal, opening an office in Lisbon. 1983 The company opens an office in Porto. 1987 The merger between KMG Thomson McLintock and Peat Marwick takes effect in Portugal. 1989 The firm changes its name to KPMG Peat Marwick, eventually becoming known as KPMG. 2019 New KPMG head office opens in Lisbon. 2023 KPMG Technology Hub opens at the Alentejo Science and Technology Park in Évora.
