We would like to remind you of the upcoming deadline for submitting proposals under the support program for the construction of a publicly accessible recharging and refueling infrastructure, targeted at private and public entities as well as consortia based in Member States or countries associated with the European Union (February 17, 2025). The program offers a wide range of funding opportunities for projects related to the construction of a publicly accessible recharging and refueling infrastructure.
We encourage all interested parties to submit proposals and participate in this important program, which represents a key step towards the sustainable development of transport infrastructure in Europe. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the energy transition and support the development of modern, eco-friendly transport solutions.
Construction of publicly accessible recharging/refueling infrastructure
The call is aimed at private and/or public bodies and consortia seated in a Member State or a country associated with the European Union. It offers a range of financial support opportunities for projects related to the development of recharging and refueling infrastructure, including:
- construction of a publicly accessible recharging infrastructure for light-duty vehicles on the TEN-T road network or within 3 km driving distance from the nearest exit of a TEN-T road. The recharging points need to offer a power output of at least 150KW;
- construction of a publicly accessible recharging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles on the TEN-T road network or within 3 km driving distance from the nearest exit of a TEN-T road, including on safe and secure parkings, and in TEN-T urban nodes. The recharging points need to offer a power output of 350KW;
- construction of a publicly accessible recharging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles on the TEN-T road network or within 3 km driving distance from the nearest exit of a TEN-T road, including on safe and secure parkings, and in TEN-T urban nodes. It must be equipped with at least 4 recharging points having each a minimum power output of 1MW;
- construction of publicly accessible hydrogen refueling stations for light-duty vehicles and/or heavy-duty vehicles on the TEN-T road network or within 10 km driving distance from the nearest exit of a TEN-T road and in TEN-T urban nodes;
- construction of hydrogen refueling stations for public transport in TEN-T urban nodes;
- electrification and development of recharging and hydrogen refueling stations in TEN-T inland waterway and maritime ports areas;
- electrification of airport ground operations and development of hydrogen refueling infrastructure in TEN-T airports;
- deployment of hydrogen refueling stations for shunting locomotives in TEN-T railway terminals.
The total amount allocated for this call is EUR 1 billion, and the minimum amount that can be applied for is EUR 1 million. Applications for more than EUR 600 million have already been submitted. The maximum grant amount is up to 50% (in selected jurisdictions up to 70%). In the case of investments in Poland project fiche should be submitted to the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy by 17 February 2025.
